Faculty of Technology Management and Technopreneurship, Universiti Teknikal Malaysia’s Visit to the Faculty of Economics and Business& Faculty of Computer and Engineering (FKT) at Universitas Alma Ata
Yogyakarta, May 24, 2024 — The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) and Faculty of Computer and Engineering (FKT) at Universitas Alma Ata Yogyakarta warmly welcomed a visit from the Faculty of Technology Management and Technopreneurship (FPTT), Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM), as part of efforts to strengthen academic ties and international collaboration on Friday, May 24, 2024.
The visit aimed to explore collaboration opportunities in various fields, including academic exchanges, joint research, and the development of educational programs. The delegation from UTeM, led by the Dean of FPTT, Professor Dr. Mohd Syaiful Rizal bin Abdul Hamid, was welcomed by the Dean of FEB Universitas Alma Ata, Defia Ifsantin Maula, S.I.P., M.B.A., CEC, along with the Dean of FKTUniversitas Alma Ata, Raden Nur Rachman Dzakiyullah, S.Kom., M.Sc.
This meeting marks the first step towards opening a closer collaboration between the two institutions. In his remarks, Professor Dr. Mohd Syaiful Rizal bin Abdul Hamid stated that this visit is part of UTeM’s global strategy to enhance the quality of higher education through collaboration with universities in Southeast Asia.
Meanwhile, Defia Ifsantin Maula, S.I.P., M.B.A., CEC, Dean of FEB UAA, also welcomed this visit positively, expressing that FEB Universitas Alma Ata is ready to establish mutually beneficial cooperation. During the visit, both parties also discussed the potential for student and faculty exchanges, as well as opportunities for joint seminars and workshops. Furthermore, collaboration in research was a primary focus, with plans to conduct joint research on current issues in the fields of economics, technology, and entrepreneurship.
This collaborative visit reflects the strong commitment of UTeM and Universitas Alma Ata to continue strengthening academic networks in Southeast Asia and contribute to the development of high-quality higher education that is relevant to the needs of the times.
