The Accounting Study Program at Alma Ata University was established alongside the transition of Alma Ata College into Alma Ata University in 2016, in accordance with the Higher Education Establishment Decree No. 155/KPT/I/2016. The first intake of new students for the Accounting Study Program was in 2016.
The improvement in the quality of the Accounting Study Program is evident from the significantly increasing accreditation ranking. In 2024, the Accounting Study Program at Alma Ata University received an accreditation rating of “Very Good” based on the Accreditation Decree of LAMEMBA No. 1310/DE/A.5/AR.10/VI/2024. One of the efforts to develop the Accounting Study Program is the continuous improvement of the curriculum, facilities, and teaching resources to meet international standards, supporting the university’s vision and mission to produce excellent and globally competitive professionals in business accounting.
