Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Alma Ata – On September 13, 2022, The Program Matching Fund Team from the Faculty of Economics and Business Alma Ata conducted a thorough assessment of activities aimed at fostering tourism potential of Banjaran, Guwosari Village, Bantul Regency. The purpose of this activities is to establish a thriving tourist village by leveraging the resources within Banjaran area and empowering the local community to seize economic growth opportunities.
Defia Ifsantin Maula, S.I.P., M.B.A., CEC, who serves as Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at Alma Ata University, leads the 2022 Matching Fund Program. The team consist of faculty members from various programs within FEB, including Accounting, Management, Islamic Banking, Islamic Economics, along with collaborative efforts from the Primary School Teacher Education Program (PGSD) and the nutrition program. The main focus of the 2022 Matching Fund Program between UAA and Guwosari village revolves around the “Development of Tourism, Culinary, and Family Education Center in the Banjaran Unit, Guwosari Village.
Since the beginning of July 2022, the team has been conducting surveys at the Banjaran unit location to assess the current situation. Following that, collaborative discussions were carried out with the management team of the Banjaran Unit, led by Yoga Pradana, along with the officials from Guwosari Village, including the village chief and the team. The result of this discussion involved the creation of series activities based on the area’s potential to support tourism development. These activities include structured institutional management, financial management systems, and the development of business strategies and marketing plans for the long-term sustainability of tourism.
The establishment of the tourist village is expected to bring positive impacts to improve the economic and social conditions of the communities in the Banjaran unit Area.
