FEB UAA Collaborates with The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) Bantul and The Indonesian Women Entrepreneurs Association (IWPI)

The Faculty of Economics and Business Alma Ata – In Collaboration with The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) Bantul and The Indonesian Women Entrepreneurs Association (IWPI). This collaboration aims to ensure academic excellence for students in the current era of globalization. Beyond formal cooperation, the synergy between the university and these institutions focuses on achieving tangible learning outcomes, fostering adaptable and responsive student characters for the challenge of the workforce. This crucial aspect has led the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at Alma Ata University (UAA), which encompass management, Accounting, Islamic Banking, Islamic Economy programs, to establish a mutual collaboration with The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) Bantul, and The Indonesian Women Entrepreneurs Association (IWPI).

The formal agreement signing, known as Memorandum of Agreement (MoA), took place at Alma Ata University, specifically in the Menara Al Mustofa Building, Room MAM 606 on the 6th floor. The event was attended by a total of 9 people, including the chairman and representative from KADIN and IWAPI Bantul. The ceremony was represented by Mrs. Erwin Yuniarti, SH., MM (Chairwoman of IWAPI Bantul), Mr. Ibnu Kadarmanto, ST., MT (KADIN Bantul), and Mrs. Defia Ifsantin Maula, SIP., MA (Dean of FEB UAA).

FEB UAA’s collaboration with KADIN and IWAPI Bantul was highlighted by a significant Forum Group Discussion (FGD), where the focus was on exchanging ideas among the relevant stakeholders. The thematic aspects of the discussion delved into issues such as poverty, waste management, the potential of the creative industry, and economic disparities in the Bantul region. Moving forward, the action plan entails tailoring the curriculum to meet the demands of the Workforce and Industry (DUDI), incorporating a learning model involving industry practitioners, providing credible internship opportunities, and nurturing entrepreneurial skills among the students. Ms. Dunyati Ilmiah, SEI., ME, the Program Coordinator for Islamic Banking, and Ragil Satria Wicaksana, SEI., MSI, representing the program, emphasized the commitment to produce graduates who excel in Islamic finance and also possess a strong Islamic spirit and a national orientation to address social issues through collaborative and sustainable innovations.
