History of Study Programme – Management

 

The Bachelor’s Degree in Management Program at Alma Ata University Yogyakarta was established with a grand vision to become an outstanding study program in the fields of management and entrepreneurship. This program is designed to produce graduates who are competitive in the ASEAN job market and contribute to the development of national welfare and global civilization, grounded in Islamic values and the nationalism of Indonesia.

Background

Alma Ata University was founded in response to the changing times and civilizations by scholars and clerics within the Ali Masduki Foundation and the Ali Maksum Foundation. The grand vision of Alma Ata is to become an excellent and independent higher education institution committed to Islamic values, which are applied in the Management Study Program.

Vision and Mission

Vision and mission are planning concepts accompanied by actions in line with what is planned to achieve a certain goal.

Vision of the Management Study Program
By 2035, the Management Study Program will be able to produce graduates who are adaptive and relevant to the industry, business, and management, grounded in Islamic values.

Mission of the Three Pillars of Higher Education

Education and Teaching
a. Develop a curriculum that is responsive to global changes in entrepreneurship and management.
b. Implement innovative, inclusive, and technology-based teaching methods.
c. Enhance the capabilities of lecturers and students through continuous education and training.

Research
a. Encourage and support interdisciplinary research in entrepreneurship and management.
b. Build research collaborations with national and international institutions.
c. Apply research findings to improve the quality of education and teaching, as well as contribute to society.

Community Service
a. Apply entrepreneurial and managerial knowledge to improve community welfare.
b. Provide training and development programs for the community in the field of entrepreneurship.
c. Strengthen collaboration with stakeholders to integrate Islamic values into management and entrepreneurship practices.

Objectives

The primary objective of the Management Study Program is to produce competent, professional graduates who are globally competitive and possess high moral integrity. Additionally, this program focuses on generating scientific work that has a good reputation at the national and international levels, contributing to community welfare and the development of global civilization.

Development

Since the formulation of the vision, mission, objectives, and targets (VMTS) approved in 2016, the Management Study Program has undergone various stages of development involving internal and external stakeholders. This vision and mission are implemented gradually with long-term planning until 2035, in line with the overall development strategy of Alma Ata University.

The commitment of the Management Study Program is to collaborate with various partners, including academics, practitioners, and industry, to ensure the quality of education meets global demands.
